We have reached the 35 week mark and can't believe little London will be here in less than 4 weeks!!! For those of you who don't know, we have a c-section scheduled for Tuesday, June 9th! Mark it on your calendars - unless something changes - that will be our sweet little girls birthday. WOW!! It's hard to believe it has gone by this fast.
Many folks have begun to ask us the "are you ready for two" question... and to be honest, is any one ever truly ready? I mean truly, truly ready for any big change? Of course we have the nursery ready, clothes washed and hung, baby swing back out from storage, diapers bought... the necessities can be checked off. And if you asked us if we're ready for another baby we would say... yes, we are ready to bring our little girl into the world. We are ready to hold her in our arms for the first time, and rock her while she is sound asleep, and watch her little belly go up and down as she takes those little breaths. We are ready to celebrate the joys of her rolling over for the first time, and trying to stand on her own, and uttering her first "dadda and momma". Yes, we are ready for these things. Are we ready for sleepless nights, dirty bottles, and attempting to take two children under 3 to the grocery store... well, the answer would probably be no. But that's where the blessing of a child truly comes in. It has a powerful way of pushing everything else to the side and unveiling a love that you never knew you could feel. It's an amazing gift that God blesses us with and for that reason we can say that we are ready. We know that God blesses us with soo much more than dirty diapers. And He gives us the tools needed to be the best parents we can be. And for that reason alone, the blessing of a child, I know we are ready.
