OK - so maybe we've been a little camera happy, but we just can't seem to get enough pictures of our sweet boy. He is just too cute! And in doing so we thought it best to share these adorable pictures with you all. Enjoy! Asher had his 2 week check up today and is now up to 6 lbs 14 oz. The doctor said he is doing great and growing well - maybe even breaking some records - ha!

Visit from Grandma Nene and Papa Bud

Here are some pictures from Asher's visit with his grandma and grandpa Schmader. He really enjoyed them cooking and helping out mommy and daddy while they were adjusting and healing. Thanks!! Asher says they are to come back soon for another visit.

Asher At A Week Old!

Asher is now a week old and doing great! At his first visit to the pediatrition he had already gained 9 oz weighing 5 lbs 12 oz. He is nursing well and eating lots so he'll probably be out of his preemie clothes in no time -- thanks to his little friend Kaiden Lee for letting him borrow some of his preemie clothes!! Mommy and daddy aren't too anxious for him to grow out of them though, because they love to hold his tiny little fingers, legs, arms and toes in their hands. Asher is doing pretty well in the evenings too, sleeping 3 hours stretches during the night before he wakes up for a feeding. He is usually down by 10:00 pm and has a feeding around 1AM, 4AM, and 7AM. The last feeding mommy or daddy usually just lets him sleep on their chest until everyone is up...that seems to be his favorite position to sleep! We've also given him a nick-name of "squirt" -- needless to say you can always tell when it is time for a diaper change, ha! Asher had a great visit with his grandma and grandpa Schmader his first week home and was very sad to see them leave. He also attended his first church service today and did great. Right now he is sleeping with daddy on the couch, pretending to watch football. We'll check in later and with pics from our week with grandma and grandpa Schmader...

Asher Lee Armstrong has arrived!!

We are proud to announce that our little boy was born on Friday Sept 15th at 5:50 am, via a c-section. He is a beautiful healthy 5 lb 5 oz boy and 19 inches long. Mommy and baby did great during the entire birth and we feel so completely blessed to have this little guy in our lives. We truly didn't grasp just how special it would be until the little miracle was in our arms. He is such a blessing and has brought us so much joy already. Wow - what an amazing feeling it is to be a mommy and daddy for the first time. We want to thank all of our family and friends for their constant prayers and support, and for everyone that was able to stop by the hospital to say hello to little Asher for the first time. We love you all!!
