HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!
As the holidays are upon us we thought it was time for another update from the Armstrong clan. Randy hit the road again today after a short visit at home. The band spent a few days in Germany over the weekend and enjoyed having the opportunity to meet fans from across the country!
Randy and Asher spent some time hanging out while daddy was home.

Asher is getting so much stonger and learning to push himself up and hold his head up while laying on his belly. He seems pretty proud of himself - tee hee!
He is quite the happy baby, smiling and cooing all the time!! He tries to talk to us any chance he gets, although most of the time we just can't seem to figure out what he is saying - ha! It appears that he is going to be a little talker like mommy and daddy!
Asher has found a new friend in his crib as well. Mommy walked in on him one day talking up a storm with his new buddy.
Asher even spent an afternoon doing a little Christmas shopping with the girls! What a guy.
We are very excited for the holidays with our new little one, and anxious to be home to spend some much needed time with family and friends! Happy Holidays to all!

Happy Thanksgiving!!
Hope you all had a great Thanksgiving!! Our Thanksgiving here in TN was wonderful. Nonni and Grandpa Armstrong, and even great grandpa Orton, have been visiting all week and Asher got to experience his first traditional family Thanksgiving. We had a delicious turkey dinner with all the yummy fixin's and relaxed.
Daddy got to catch up on some sleep from being on the road, and Asher loved snuggling up with daddy.

Nonni took some time to read Asher a book....
...and love on her sweet little grandson

We even took a trip to the Opryland Hotel - Asher LOVES looking at the lights!

The lights on the BIG Christmas tree in the entrance was his favorite

-- The Two Month Check-Up --

Asher had his 2 month checkup and the pediatrition said he is doing great and growing like a weed! She didn't even recognize him from his last visit because he had gained 5 lbs. Asher now weighs 11.5 lbs and is over 22 inches long. He also had to get his first round of shots, which were no fun at all! He had to get two shots in each thigh. Mommy was glad daddy was there for support because it was hard to see Asher upset from the shots. But, Asher took it like a champ and was smiling and cooing the entire way home.

A funfilled two weeks!!

It's crazy to think that Asher had his very first plane ride at 6 weeks old!! Mommy and Asher flew home to PA for 2 weeks to visit with family and friends while daddy was on the road with the band.
Our first stop was with Grandma Nene and Papa Bud. We stayed there most of the time in between our visits with friends. They were very excited to get to spend some time with Asher and mommy!

Next stop was to visit with mommy's best friend, April and Asher's newest best pal, Kaiden. We got to spend time with them at State College and even took a picture with the Penn State Nittany Lion. Asher was very excited since daddy is an alumni of PSU!

Then it was back home to anxiously await the newest cousin, Brooke Autumn Ley. Mommy's sister, Kim, delivered her on Tuesday morning and Asher was very excited to meet his new baby cousin. She is the very first girl in the gang of cousins.

And before it was time to head back to TN, we even got to catch a show of daddy's in Pittsburgh. And got to spend some time with Noni and Grandpa Armstrong!! What a great night! Asher sure did miss daddy and his grandparents. He and Grandpa even shared a pretty in depth conversation on the couch!!

The Glider and Ottoman Arrived!!

We are very excited that our glider and ottoman finally arrived!! Many thanks to the folks at Bethany's work place for blessing us with this great gift. Asher seems to love being rocked and fed in the chair. Sometimes he'll even crawl up in the chair himself and chill in it when we are not watching...ok, so maybe not, but I'm sure he would if he could. It has become one of the favorite places to sit with the little guy.

Asher is finally starting to fit into his little baby outfits too! Mommy has had lots of fun playing dress up lately - ha! This weekend was pretty chilly here in TN so it was time to try out some of his warmer clothes. Mommy and daddy think it is soo cute to see Asher dressed up like a little boy. He is getting bigger every day!

Needless to say we are loving being parents and feel incredibly blessed to have Asher in our lives. He is such a joy and we can't help but smile every time we look at him and hold him in our arms.

I'm one month old!
Asher is now officially a month old. This past week we could definitely see some changes in him. He is becoming more alert and aware of what is around him. He seems to really like looking at the black and white New York pictures hanging on the wall. He is getting stronger too; he likes to grip mommy's hair if it's not tied back (or anything else that happens to fall in his hands) and tries to hold his head up when you lay him on your chest or his belly.

He is still only sleeping about 2-3 hours before needing a feeding, but we're hoping that starts to stretch out soon...mommy and daddy are starting to get a little sleepy from the short nights rest. Asher is definitely starting to fill out too. We're guessing he is close to 7-8 lbs now. He is growing out of his preemie clothes and almost fits into the newborn sizes, and has officially graduated to the newborn size diapers!! Needless to say the little guy is doing great and growing like a weed.

This past Sunday Asher got to wear his Steeler's outfit for the first time, and the Steeler's won! Daddy wasn't too excited about the cool black, white and gold attire..but mommy loved it!

I'm three weeks old!

Asher is now three weeks old and doing great! This past weekend while daddy was out of town on the road with the band, Asher got to hang with his Aunt Tiffany and Aunt Courtney for a while. Aunt Tiffany even got to be the very first babysitter (along with her friend Donna) while mommy took a few hours off to run into town.
A few hours was a good first step -- even being away that long was a little hard for Bethany. But, Asher and Bethany both handled it well. It's been a litte tough for Randy to be gone for a few days...he sure misses his little boy. And mommy and Asher sure miss him. But, it will be fun to do some catching up while we watch Sunday night football together! Randy has been really looking forward to getting to watch football with his son. Randy isn't too thrilled with Bethany trying to make Asher into a Steeler's fan though, but we're working on it! Asher is also anxiously awaiting the arrival of his little cousin Brooke Autumn Ley. She should be here within the next few weeks and we are praying that Kim (mommy) and Brooke have a smooth and safe delivery. We can't wait to meet her!

A visit from Noni (grandma) and Grandpa Armstrong!!

Asher had a great visit with Grandma and Grandpa Armstrong this past weekend. They flew in for a quick visit and Asher was soo excited to meet them! Asher also got to finally meet his Uncle Anthony as well. So far he doesn't seem to be too confused with all these look-a-like aunts and uncles. Asher is still growing and we've started to notice that his preemie outfits seem to be getting a little snug. We've tried putting him in a few "newborn" onesies, however, they are still too big! Guess he still has a little more growing to do before he can fit into the 0-3 months clothes. Here are some pictures from his wonderful visit with Noni and Grandpa Armstrong. He misses everyone already!!

Hopefully he won't get too confused - Uncle Anthony looks a lot like daddy!!

OK - so maybe we've been a little camera happy, but we just can't seem to get enough pictures of our sweet boy. He is just too cute! And in doing so we thought it best to share these adorable pictures with you all. Enjoy! Asher had his 2 week check up today and is now up to 6 lbs 14 oz. The doctor said he is doing great and growing well - maybe even breaking some records - ha!

Asher giving mommy a great BIG hug!

Asher thinks his hands will give him food

Wow - what a hard day Asher had. Eating and sleeping can be rough.

Daddy and Asher...look at those skinny little legs!
