The Unemployed
It's taken me about a week to muster up the guts to actually blog about this... but what's a blog if we don't humble ourselves and get real and really pour our personal thoughts and heart into it... right? (that's my take on it at least). Sooooo...here goes! About 12 days ago I was let go from the company that I had given the last 6 years to. Just like that. No warning. No 2 weeks notice. I had to leave that day and that was that. It was a complete shock. I mean, the thought had obviously run through my head given the economic times and the fact that this was the company's third round of layoffs (me being 1 of about 40 to be let go that day alone)... but you never really think it's going to happen to you. And when it does, when they sit you down and start going over the required legal gibberish, your head can't even follow the words that roll off the HR reps lips. Your heart drops and the only thing you can think about is racing out of the room so you can go hide in your car until the tears stop flowing.
It's weird though, despite the initial shock and tears, I honestly feel more at peace then I ever have. I have to believe that God has a bigger plan... that he will use this circumstance for good and provide a much needed change for Randy and I. This last week I've had the opportunity to spend priceless time with my babies and Randy and that alone is something I wouldn't trade for anything. So what's next... only God knows. I'm anxious, excited, and yes - somewhat scared -but I know the future holds so much to look forward to! I've been at war with my heart and my head the last year trying to balance taking care of the family but wishing I could do something different, something I have passion for. I think this is all part of my crazy life story and I have just turned the page on a new chapter. Let the next chapter begin!
Ps. If anyone knows of any leads that would fit a determined, creative, detail oriented, passionate gal with years of marketing experience let me know!!

London's 4 month Update!

Yes, it has been 4 months already... hard to believe, I know! Our sweet little infant has turned into a cooing, babbling baby overnight!! Don't get me wrong, this is one of my favorites stages, but there is such a big difference between the tiny buddle that is brought home from the hospital to the baby that is ready to sit up on their own and grab at everything in site. Maybe it's because we are veteran parents this time around, and we're more familiar with the each new stage...I don't know... but it seems like London is just flying through each stage too fast. All that said....she is such a precious, beautiful, sweet baby girl!! We love you punk'n!
